Set up 4x6 labels on Whatnot
- On whatnot.com, open Shipments in Seller Hub.
- Open the sidebar (top right) before opening a shipment.
- Under Default Label Options set the shipping label (and packing slip, if you want) to 4 x 6 inches.
- The default applies to new labels you create.
Buying checklist
- 4x6 labels: Confirm it prints 4 x 6 in shipping labels — the size eBay, Poshmark and Whatnot offer.
- Direct thermal: No ink or toner; you buy heat-sensitive labels instead. Check which label stock (rolls or fanfold stacks) it accepts.
- Your device: Printing from a phone or tablet needs Bluetooth or Wi-Fi and an app or driver for it. From a computer, check drivers for your OS (Windows, macOS, ChromeOS).
- Cost per label: Label packs vary; divide price by labels and add it to your cost per package.
We don't rank models we haven't tested. Compare current options and prices: 4x6 thermal label printers · 4x6 thermal labels · postal scales (Amazon, check current price).
Then work out your cost per package and your profit with the Whatnot fee calculator.
FAQ
Can Whatnot packing slips print on 4x6?
Yes. Whatnot's default label options include a 4 x 6 inch packing slip size as well as the label size.
I changed the setting but my label is still 8.5 x 11
Whatnot says the defaults apply to new labels you create, so labels generated before the change keep their old size.
